Thank you for visiting this page!! My name is Luigi and I live on the beautiful island of Capri , I've been intrested in radio-communications since the age of 11. But I didn't get my ham radio licence until the age of 23,during my working expirience in Bermuda where I got the novice callsign VP9NMV (belive me it was not easy to study for the written test in English ) and I upgraded in to VP9MV few mounths later. I really enjoied operating from there and the hams community was just great. In 1992 I moved to the U.S. where in 10 months I earned from the novice to extra class licence with N2TGK callsign(I know of hams who's done in much short period of time but consider language problem). In 1993 I moved back to my Home-country and operated IC8/N2TGK until 1995 when I got my current call IC8GVV

In the last few years I haven't been very active like I used to be, moving to a different house I couldn't set my previous antenna system, so at the moment I only use a 20 mt band wire dipole with my Icom 737 but I hope to arrange a better station soon. Since november 2012 I am back on the bands and even trying to pick up CW again, after 20 years.

I love the outdoors, so I do a lot of hiking, climbing and skiing, I am also involved with Italian Mountain Rescue Corp as an Helicopter rescue technician.
