I got in love at 12 years with radio looking my uncle working in vhf and rescue group in mountain using radio.

At 14 (minimum legal age in Italy) I begun using cb, self-mading every kind of vertical antenna.

At 18yo I got my A licence starting my phone activity (and a little bit of cw) going on till 24 yo always enjoing with self-made antennas.

After a 10 ys of silence-radio i restart my activity building quad antennas that made my roof like spiderman home....

Now, not to exasperate my poor neighbours I reduced my antennas to :

A QUAD ANTENNA FOR THE 40 MT : IK2WSO-MINKOWSKY LOOP is a way of applicate fractal concept to HF. Is a rectangolar quad with a little use of fractal theories to keep the antenna higer from the roof

and a Cushcraft AS4a

On a rotor Yaesu G-1000 DXC

Transceiver Yaesu ft 1000MP MV

Microphone Heil headset HC

CW - no compromise-

Handmade Frattini Magnetic

Keyer: dx key- used in iambic A mode

I have also a diamond x 501 for local traffic in v-u with a fm yaesu ft8800

I have even a wonderful wife....

but i'm not sure she loves my hobby so much...lol
