My very first QSO was with the famous Father Ed, HV3SJ, on January 1st 1975. In the first years I spent time hunting for DX only on phone. Then, in 1979, I discovered a nice old straight key which had been used a long time ago by the Post Office, and this started my CW activity. The next step was contesting which I found fascinating.

These days I run contests using an electronic key, and also use computer keying. Contesting is strenuous and I cannot dedicate as much time as I would like but it's a great way to keep the brain working. CW is now my favorite mode but I still like phone, and now I operate the digital modes, too with Ic 756 Pro3 and the vertical antennaDX88 Hy Gain .
