I QRP CLUB # 823

MARCONI CLUB A.R.I. LOANO: Marconista # 801

I have a dream: to use the radio at low power and still be able to reach targets prestigious...

Even in a period of “low propagation” may be waived linear amplifier ... I have also given up to 100 watts! I am reborn and I enjoy the real charm of the Radio!

My rig: Icom IC 7600  (base) - Elecraft KX3 - Kenwood TS480SAT (for mobile-portable activity) and old Yaesu FT 101 ZD.

All radios are set to the max power of 5 watts output

Home made aerials: Half-Sloper - multiband antenna 22 m. long and short vertical 3 m. long + coils for mobile

Easily contact each day many European countries ... also some special prefix like EA8, CN8,SV5, SV9, TA, 4Z4, JY, 5Z, 6W, SU8JOTA,A4, EA9, 7Z, ZB, 7X, A6, 5H, CT9, OY, ZC4 ecc.

After 12 years in QRT I have taken the amateur radio January 3, 2011, QRP –CW.

These are some DX…

many K / W, VE,J88DR, ZS6X,K4XU (Oregon, (/p in my car, QRB abt 9.500 km!),VQ9LA (Big Pile-up!), CX5BW, CX7CO,1A0KM (Big Pile-up!), KP4MS, 5R8AL, AB3CX (/p in my car, 14 Mhz, with "3 m vert,"home made antenna…), 5B8AD, S9DX (Big Pile-up On 14 Mhz!!) When he heard "/QRP" the operator asked me what antenna you were using and made me compliments! Magic moments…

E21EJC (Thailand, in my car with " 3m vert." home made antenna)Z22CW, 4S7NE, VP5/VE3OP, VP2V/G3PHO, 5N7M, V5/DJ4SO, 5M2TT, JH4JNG HS0ZBS, YB1ALL, HK1R, VR2UW, VU2PCD (/M - 4 Watt + short (coil) antenna 3 m. long)...8P6BX/qrp, OJ0X (hard Pile up!), OX3XR, YI9EO,KC0W (North Dakota!), TF3CW

and also in particular:

KH6MB: QRB 13.135 KM

VK2KM: QRB 16.676 KM

FK8IL: QRB 17.211 KM

ZL1AIX: QRB 18.807 KM

ZL50VK: QRB 18.823 KM

ZL2AGY: QRB 18.824 KM

ZL2AP/qrp: QRB 18.933 KM

ZL2FAR: QRB 19.044 KM

FK8DD: QRB 22.810 KM ! (Long Path)

T32C (!) : QRB 15.201 KM Kiritimati DXpedition( so hard pile up!! )

I am now convinced that 5 watts is a Big power!
