QRP& swl STATION

op. Manuele

"QRP emphasizes skill not power, courtesy not brute force"

MY WORKING CONDITION:

QRP&Small Magnetic Loop Antenna

WELCOME TO THE MAGIC WORLD OF QRP

If you are here you probably just heard me calling or maybe we just had a contact, anyway you have to know that I only use few power (from 1 to 5 watt) and a small antenna (my super MFJ-1788 magnetic loop). This is the way I get satisfaction! I can reach all the countries of the world, the same you do with much more power and bigger antennas. I hope that most of you will be interested and become a QRP station too.

My main rig is Yaesu FT-817ND with Astatic D104M6 microphone, some receivers for SWL

These are my mimetic antennas (MFJ-1788 for HF and Discone for VHF/UHF):

MFJ-1788 magnetic loop is 1 meter (36 inches) diameter only, without any rotor (beaming east-west), about 10 meters (30 feet) above sea level

That's me SWLing:

That's me pedestrian-QRP :

My set-up for portable QRP is FT-817ND and Magnetic Loop antenna by Alexloop

Please respect QRP frequencies !!!
