ITALIAN AMATEUR RADIO STATION

Thanks for looking me up! I live in Naples (South Italy), a few hundred meters from the castle near the coast in the picture above, overlooking the Tyrrhenian sea. I'm fascinated by radio communications since I was a kid and I discovered the real magic of radio waves. My main interests are for antenna constructions, try old and new transceivers, long distances Dx and technical Qso. Looking forward to work with you in the bands, 73 de Mike IZ8XOV

I have a little philosophy for this hobby: get the maximum enjoyment with simple means, said in other words take advance from a good antenna rather than using a lot of power, enjoy the good operators and respect the rules! Ham Spirit is the right way to have a lot of friends all over the world because there are not differences between all peoples!

My location

Some of my antenna/Doublet Dipole

For Hf (local) I use my Doublet Dipole with 450 Ohm ladder line and balanced tuner Mfj-993/B. For Dx my antenna is a 30 ft fiber mast with Ldg Rt-100 (remote tuner) and 24 radials. It work well on long distances from 40 to 10 meters

Vhf/Uhf antenna: In the past I have used some Vhf Yagi (10 and 13 elements). I love Fm and Usb on 2 meters especially during my holiday, with a lot of fun with the summer Propagation but from house I use today only Fm mode
