 ITALIAN AMATEUR RADIO STATION

Thanks for looking me up. I live in Naples (South Italy), a few hundred meters from the castle near the coast in the picture above, overlooking the Tyrrhenian sea. I'm fascinated by radio communications since I was a kid and I discovered the real magic of radio waves. My main interests are for antenna constructions, try old and new transceivers, long distances Dx and technical Qso. Looking forward to work with you in the bands, 73 de Mike IZ8XOV

This is me in 2015, my shack and my location

My story began many years ago when I've found a Cb walkie talkie under Christmas tree, (a very popular gift at that time). I believe that’s the adventure of many kids become later Ham Radio Operators. I would like to remember the past because this hobby has distant roots and probably it's a common story for many of us, each with his experiences

Some rigs

Doublet dipole with 450 Ohm ladder line and balanced tuner

My dx antenna is 30 ft vertical aluminium pole with 4:1
