My nameís Antonio and I live in Cava deí Tirreni (SA) ( JN70ir ) which is a small town located at about 50 kms south from Naples and close to the Amalphitan Coast.

Here you can have a look at my town: www.cavaturismo.it

I was born in 1969 and Iím a  teacher. After several years of SWL, I got my Ham License at the end of April 2012. Since then I'm mostly active in Phone but also in digital modes and CW. I do prefer DX chasing, but from time to time you'll find me somewhere calling CQ .

Equipment here is:

ICOM 7600 + Heil Sound PR 781

YAESU FT 2000 D + MD 200

ICOM 751 A + SM 8

FlexRadio 3000 + SM 20

EQ Plus + 8 Band Equalizer

PA ACOM 1000

PA Rake 274

For VHF/UHF I use a KENWOOD TS 790 + MC 60 MIKE + SP 31 - into a Comet GP 9 Antenna + Diamond X-200.

For mobile use Iíve got a ICOM IC 2820.

For portable use I've got a KENWOOD Th- D7 G2.0 and two BAOFENG Uv5 / UV3.

Antenna is a 3 element with 30/40 mt add on kit + 6 mt, set up on a 45 ft tower.

If you dropped here, probably we had a qso. I sincerely hope to meet you again in the future. If you hear me calling CQ don't hesitate to stop by and say hello!

If we had a QSO, I would very much like to receive your paper QSL card as I love to collect them.

I will QSL 100%. As I consider it an hobby and not a "business", any fee or contribution is requested! So please don't send any IRC or "green paper", just  your qsl and address.

I mostly use LOTW and my logs are daily updated there; this is a smart way for saving trees and, why not, money. Also use EQSL  and HRDLOG.

However, I sincerely believe there is nothing like sending/receiving a real paper QSL card!

A qso lasts few minutes, but the remember of that qso will last forever thanks to a qsl card that's what I believe!

SWL reports are also very welcomed and promptly replied.

Very best regards and 73's from Antonio - IZ8XQC

KEEP THE HAMSPIRIT ALIVE!
