VERSA Beam KA1-405 (40/30m - 2elements, 20-10m - 5elements, 6m - 8elements)

This is quite new antenna VERSA Beam KA1 which was developped by Kohjinsha Co.,Ltd.

VERSA Beam can cover 8 ham bands (40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m & 6m) by one antenna.

All frequencies are adjusted by digital controlling motor driven copper elements moving with inside of glass fiber pole in order to get the best performance.

Excepting 40m band, the antenna works as a full size YAGI beam. 40m band is performed with center loading coil  equipped into AEU (Adjustable Element Unit). It enables to shorten approximately 30% length of element. This is new technology of adjustable beam antenna in the world.

This antenna is great product which took 2 years development period to enable the best performance of adjustable beam antenna system by JH1ECG and their group.

Special New Feature:

When the "Home button" is pressed , all elements start to retract to AEU. Once each element (1. Ra, 2. Ref, 3. D1, 4. D2, 5. D3) is completed retraction, the number of element will be indicated separately on display in turn using sensor. This feature can find visually by controller unit whether or not each element is working correctly. User will be able to know malfunction of antenna system easily. Then, it will shorten the time and cost in order to repair and/or replace defective AEU.

Note: The left side digits on LCD is counting the time until all antenna elements is completed retraction to home position. This function includes in ROM of development version. So, the serial production unit does not have this function.

Calibration:

Because the antenna elements retraction detects by sensor, it will return to the previous frequency immediately after the antenna elements completes retraction for the calibration. Also, this feature enables very quiet operation without noises for antenna elements retraction.

User does not need to be concerned about noise troubles with neighborhood even though the night operation.
