The Tall Corn Amateur Radio Club (KD0MED) is sponsoring the "Frost Buster Race" special event. This years event runs from March 30th to April 4th (the day of the race).

This is the 5th anniversary for sponsoring the event.

The frost buster race is the first race of the season at the Boone Speedway which is located at Boone, Iowa.  The race is a not for points race.  The race name is derived from the time of year that the frost leaves the ground in central Iowa.  The track is referred to as "Iowa's action track" and is known for being one of the fastest dirt tracks in the state.  Races are sanctioned by IMCA.  IMCA is the "oldest" active automobile racing sanctioning body in the United States.  The Boone Speedway is home to the "Super Nationals" which are held at the end of the race season.

Please send a SASE (and your card with the contact information) to the Tall Corn Amateur Radio Club, 109 South Underhill St., Boone, IA  50036 USA.  DX stations please include $2 U.S. with your SAE.  Requests received with no SASE or SAE & $2 will not be answered.

Thanks for supporting our event!
