My amateur radio interests are working HF CW and RTTY modes and some SSB. Also 10/6/2/70cm FM and some SSB/CW on 6/2/70cm. My wife Jerrie is KØJER. Jerrie and I work some contests together. I enjoy building and repairing anything electronic and working with computers. Picture above is from the "old" shack in Savage, MN.

I'm a communications officer in Civil Air Patrol/USAF Auxiliary, doing comm. training and working comm in missions and exercises.

I've worked as a radio broadcast engineer, computer (mainframe) programmer and for the past 10+ years as a LAN/WAN engineer. I'm employed as an IP telephony network engineer with RBC Capital Markets.

Station gear includes a Yaesu FT-897, Kenwood TS-690, Drake C-line and Drake TR-7. FM rigs include a UHF Motorola Syntor X9000 (soon!), Yaesu FT-78000's, kenwood TK-730, some Motorola HTs, UHF Maxtrac, UHF CDM1550 in the XYL's Jeep, a Yaesu FT-470, Yaesu FT-50, Midland Syntech for 6m FM, a pair of Alinco DR 570 mobile rigs (retired) and Yaesu FT212 mobile (mostly retired). I enjoy tinkering with the rigs as much as using them.

Moved to SW Mpls in Aug. 2004...need to get more antennas up.

My son Doug, is KDØCUO. New ham in 2008.
