I live NW of the Minneapolis/St Paul metro. I am an Electrical Engineer working in software development during the day (my job) and in hardware at night (this hobby). I have been around various types of radio communications equipment on and off since 1973, but have always had at least one HF receiver. I enjoy pursuing all that amateur radio has to offer, but I especially like to build antennas, QRP rigs, SDR kits and various pieces of test equipment. I am currently running an Icom IC-765 rig barefoot on a 40 meter Hy Power OCF for 40m, 20m and 10m. I also run a homebrew dipole with a guanella choke balun for 15m.
