NEW EQUIPMENT - Heavy Duty DC Power Strip - purchased from KE9PQ. It is nearly identical to the MFJ-1118 but the unit costs LESS and adds current meters for both tth the 35A unswitched and 15A switched section of binding posts. An excellent deal from an excellent seller - I highly recommend it! I am purchasing a second one for my vehicle.

K1DNR/M Mobile Setup:I use an MFJ-1661 with a 1.6m (63") stainless steel whipand 10cm (4") spring. I use an FT-857D barefoot, and NYE Viking paddles bungee corded to the ashtray. •40m: 1/4 wavelength vertical, ground mounted,

•All other HF bands - 20mlong dipole up 13m high fed with homebrew laddersnap ladder line. This antenna is matched to 50 Ohm coax on 20m and 12m, and tuned on other bands.

Other things I do:I help businesses manage technology. We do everything from working with clients on business strategy, and data mining to supporting, deploying and migrating infrastructure. My company is Centerbrook Technology LLC. I started the company in 2011 when we moved here from New York City.

My wife and I love dogs and are involved with dog rescue organizations. We have 5 dogs of our own. Visit my cousin's organizationRunning For Rescues- a group that provide funds to anyone involved is rescuing a dog. Funds are available for food, medical bills, etc.

I enjoy playing the saxophone, doing occasional gigs with old friends, and playing the piano along with my radio hobby. I studied with jazz saxophonist Jackie McLean from age 16 through college. Some samples of my music can be found here www.socci.com/blog/my-music. Prior to my IT career, I played with bands all over the world. I now play with old friends, and with bands that interest me - like Michael Palin's Other Orchestraat Black Eyed Sally's in Hartford, CT

MOBILE K1DNR/M

I enjoy CW most of all, but also other modes quite often. I work all bands from 160 to 10m, but am very partial to low band dxing when conditions allow. I also enjoy moderately QRQ CW

(35-40 wpm) from my mobile when conditions allow. I find QRQ easier in the car - whereas at home in the shack I prefer to go a little slower. It seems counterintuitive - but I actually am a better QRQ operator while mobile.

Current projects include a solar powered 30m QRP QRSS beacon transmitter, and partial solar power of the main shack.
