First licensed in mid-1950's as KN1CWD in RI. Upgraded to Tech in 1967 to WA1OWN.Moved to Maine in 1976 but I stayed inactive for many, many years, enjoying SWL-ing and only a very few 2-meter QSOs. Finally studied and passed General in Fall, 2009 and upgraded to Extra in April, 2010.

I am running the Yaesu FTdx5000 into a3-element Hy-Gain at 30-feet on Taunton Bay, Hancock, ME. I am active on local repeaters with a Yaesu FT-2900 and an Icom IC-2200H. These feed either the Cushcraft A148-10S yagi or a Hustler G6-144 vertical. I recently added the Yaesu VL-1000 linear. For HF I operate mostly on 20 with some activity on 10. Recently, replaced my 80/40 meter dipole with a single band dipole for 75 and it seems to work much better. In Oct. 2011 installed dedicated 40-meter dipole. Works great!!

Added the Kenwood TS-590 in the spring of 2014 and find it a very friendly user rig, less complex than the FTdx 5000.
In November, 2014 assembled the Cushcraft R8 vertical but winter arrived before I could cable it to the shack.  Willdo as so as spring arrives!

Thanks to fellow ham, K1TC, I configured the VE3CC DX ARUser software along with N3FJP's logging software. A great combination!

Jim
