Equipment: (2) Kenwood TS-850, Ameritron AL-572, KT34A@50', A3WS@57', 40/80m center-fed dipoles. I was introduced to amateur radio by my father K0JGH and grandfather K0JGI (SK). I became licensed in 1986 at the age of ten and by age thirteen had earned my Extra class license. As an avid DXer, I have enjoyed working towards DXCC #1 currently lacking only 4 more countries. I also really enjoy contesting on SSB and CW. You will usually find me chasing DX late at night or during one of the large contests. I currently serve as the secretary for the IBM Amateur Radio Club in Rochester, MN and am active in the Rochester Amateur Radio Club and Minnesota Wireless Association. I am a member of the American Radio Relay League and a past officer of the Radio Amateurs of Northern Vermont and member of the Yankee Clipper Contest Club. I am Level-1 certified in Amateur Radio Emergency Communications. In February 2009 I was one of the members of the DXpedition to Desecheo Island operating under the callsign K5D. I will be forever grateful for this unique and wonderful opportunity to operate along side some of ham radio's finest operators. Thanks also to the thousands of hams who called us and made it so fun to be on the DX end! Last modified: Mon Oct 26 23:29:05 2009 Does this page contain inappropriate content?
