Greetings from pastoral East Amwell Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey !

I'm located about 15 miles NW of Princeton in an area of dairy farms, horses and alpacas, fox hunting, cycling and hot air ballooning.

I started out as an SWL in 1958 with a Hallicrafters S-38E and quickly found the ham bands and started collecting QSL cards. I was licensed in 1960 as KN3LJZ in Philadelphia, PA and joined the Frankford Radio Club in 1962. First NJ call was W2IFK until 1981 when I received KQ2O. In November 2006, my initials and nickname "CJ" became available and I applied for and received my present callsign - K2CJ.

Back in the day, I operated from some other FRC stations including W3MWC/K3II and K3MBF (ex-W2SAI post-war)in PA as well as with K2BK and K2NJ here in NewJersey. I've also operated from 4U1ITU, and had the pleasure of making a few contacts from W6AM one weekend years ago.

My current station is an IC 756 Pro III and Ten Tec amp with monoband yagis on 10,15 &20, a Butternut HF2V for 80/40, 40/80/160m Inverted Vee and Cushcraft rotatable dipolefor WARC. I also have a "vintage" station with a Johnson Viking Ranger and Collins 75A-4 along with a J-38, my original Vibroplex Lightning Bug and a Hallicrafters TO-keyer with El-Key paddle. On the main station I use a Begali Simplex mono key and vintage N4YG Smart Keyer when I'm not in a contest.

CU in the pileups !  Carl "CJ" - K2CJ
