I'm located in Southwest Utah at an elevation of 8,400 feet.
Winters bring plenty of Utah powder.
By the way, the station is a Yaesu FT-950 into an OCF Dipole/Windom about 35 feet high. The antenna is out of frame to the left in the photo above. I'd show you pictures of radios, but I'm sure you've seen them before. I QSL through LOTW and eQSL. Paper cards are on order. Callsign change 8/2013 from KG7CLM.
Here's the snowmobile trailer, the top of which is about 8 feet (2.4 meters) high.
Here's the house in Summer. Easier to get around then.
Summer brings great weather, but the threat of fire. This one is from 2012 as seen from the deck.
This one was serious enough that they brought in a DC-10 converted to be an air tanker. It drops like this for about 10 seconds, which covers about a mile, with over 11,000 gallons of fire retardant.
The sky is clear, and nights are dark for the US. Spot the four satellites in this photo.
Wildlife is plentiful, including deer, elk, and pronghorn. This one is in the neighbor's yard.
And riding the many local trails is a fun way to spend the day.
