Originally licensed as a novice in the mid 70's as KA2AXF I let my ticket expire in the mid 80's but was again bitten by the ham radio bug. Took the general class license exam in January of 2004 was licensed as WA2ART, and passed my extra exam earlier in 2010 and am now licensed as K2JF.

My shack includes the Icom 756 Pro III and an MFJ 30 A switching power supply. Up on the roof of my 6 floor NYC apartment building I use a 10-20 off center fed wire dipole soon to add an S9 vertical antenna.I have membership in ARRL, and FISTS. For years my only interest was CW, mostly chasing DX, the occassional contest and just doing a lot of listening. Just recently I became interested in voice and am thoroughly enjoying it. With 100 watts I do what I can.. Some day I'll sneak a yagi on the roof and really freak out the building management! But I do feel fortunate to have an outdoor antenna in the middle of NYC (Greenwich Village).
