Originally licensed as a Novice in December 1954 as KN2KNV, upgraded to General as K2KNV in 1955. In 1972 with the arrival of “Incentive Licensing” upgraded to Amateur Extra, dropped another letter in my call and became K2NV.

Operate 90% CW, mostly chasing DX and working Contests. Currently on the DXCC Honor Roll, and have many of the typical DX’ers certificates on the wall of the K2NV shack.

I QSL 100% and upload all QSO’s to ARRL's Log of the World.

I have operated from a few DXCC entities as K2NV/8P6, T88ZZ and V63RF and most recently PJ2/K2NV.

I enjoy sailing on Lake Ontario in the summer, and can be heard in many contests or on the bands as K2NV/VE3 while in Canada or Canadian waters.

My wife Rose and I have 4 children and 12 grandchildren.

The rig(s) pictured are A Yaesu FT2000D, Elecraft K3, Yaesu FT847 along with VHF/UHF rigs for APRS and 2m/70cm FM. Amplifiers include an Alpha 78 on HF and a Tempo 6N2 on VHF.

Antennas pictured below for HF + 6m are: Optibeam OB11-3 @ 21m, Cushcraft 40m rotary dipole @ 22.5m,5 el 6m, and Cushcraft A3WS WARC 3el beam @ 24m.

Antennas pictured below for VHF/UHF are: KLM 2m/70cm Circulary Polarized, and 2m/70cm vertical antennas.

I am a member of FOC, A-1 Operators Club, CWops, ARRL, AMSAT and the Western New York DX Association.

I have been very active all 58 years. A great hobby!

Notes: QSL cards for K2FOC FOC75 Operation via WB2YQH

I received approximately 1500 Cards via the bureau

for PJ2 ON December 13 2012. All have been checked and cards

sentto the ARRL OUTGOING QSL BUREAU on 12/20/2012.

The bureau process is a slow one Thanks for your patience!
