First licensed as WN2KYQ in October 1963. Passed the General Class exam in August 1964 and the call became WB2KYQ. Upgraded to Extra Class in 1978 and obtained present K2OS callsign. In addition to HF operating, I became interested in weak signal VHF operation as a Novice. My first 144 MHz rig was a Heathkit Twoer that I put on the air in January, 1964. Today, I operate mainly on CW on 160, 80 and 40 M. I now operate VHF from a portable location in grid locator FN12ip. The photo is the 144 MHz array of 4 M2 9 el yagis.
