QSL image for K2PSD

I was 13 years old when first licensed as KN2PSD,(October 1955). In 1960 I passed my FCC First Class Radiotelephone Commercial license Exam . Continuing on with my education, I graduated from The City College of New York with an ME and BE in Electrical Engineering. After starting work in the aerospace industry in 1965, I worked for the Bendix Guidance and Control and the Kearfott Guidance and Navigation companies. I spent 44 years in Guidance Engineering for the US Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile program. My career concluded with a two year stint as Program Manager for the Inertial Reference Unit used on NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite launched in 2010. My wife Mary Ann, a media specialist(librarian), is now retired. I retired in January of 2009. We have two children and two grandchildren.

The rig here is a Yaesu FTdx5000MP and an Alpa 99 amplifier. The antenna is a full wave 160 meter horizontal loop that I use on all bands. The  Ftdx5000MP replaced my Kenwood TS-830s that was my father's rig, ( Herby, W2AHZ SK). My father was first licensed in 1924 during the spark era. His license was signed by Herbert Hoover. He was a great guy.
