I always had interest in Radio and spent many years on CB, Business Radio and Short Wave Listening. . When Retirement was in the near future, and the kids were all grown and gone, I decided to take the Amateur Radio Plunge. I have the Icom 756 Pro 11 and Kenwood TL 922a Linear and a Steppir 3 element antenna. In 1999 I had a 20, 18, 15, & 10m two element quad with a 6 m. over that. This radio Hobby is the Cats Pajamas. Building and testing wire antennas is one of my favorite things to do. I have a 80, 40, and 30 meter fan dipole at 50 feet, and a 160 meter dipole installed on the tower pulley system at 70 feet, and can test new antenna ideas at any time. The Main antenna is my Steppir three element at 91 feet. The Tower is a Home Brew, shown just after completion in1991.It consists of the first 18 ft of Sced 80 pipe, built as a Hinge, first to drop tower in a eastern direction, then updated to drop in a southern direction. The upper tower is an Unaversal Aluminum Tower. That may explain the extra Guys. PS I was in the pip fitters union. "It helps to be an reitred B card fitter Airconditing heating...
