Click for more detail... I have been a ham since 1992. My former callsigns were KD4KBU, KQ4DM, and KE3ID. My main hobby is astronomy, and I volunteer my time as NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador. In addition, I currently write a monthly astronomy column for The Free Lance-Star newspaper with a circulation of 50,000 serving the Fredericksburg, VA, area. My astronomy and nature photos have appeared on all four television news stations in the Washington, DC, area as well as on CNN and The Weather Channel. My other hobbies include photography, running, weightlifting, Oakland A's baseball, and listening to heavy metal/rock music. In July 2009 at the age of 44, I earned a master's degree in management.
