Hello,

My name is Jim, I have been a ham since 1958 or so. I was first licensed as KN3SXA while still in high school. I used to be quite a VHF and 160 Meter contester. And yes, I am the same nut who used to work oscar and 6 and 2 meter cw/ssb from a ship (even in Newyork harbor). I worked as a coastal operator at WSL back in 1969 for about 3 months. The money was not so great but the experience was the best. I have retired from the sea (1990) and recently retired from the State of Delaware, Communications Division after 19 years 1 month. I made a dream come true and am now aCommercial/Instrument ratedpilot 4/09. I am active on CW on 160M 30M and 17M. Oct 2010 now proud owner of an Elecraft K3. Member VWOA, SKCC #8483, A-1 OPS.
