I operate cw and digital modes, and am starting to operate more SSB. My favorite contest is the Original 13 Colonies Contest the week of July 1ST - JULY 6TH. K2L; station for SC in the 13 Colonies Contest won TOP STATION this year(2014), I operated CW, and with a grand total of 497 QSO's. Club total was 17,139. I also enjoy building my own antennas and experimenting with different designs.
I am 51 years old and have lived in Charleston all my life. First licensed in 1975 at age 12 as WD4BTC, then at age 15 upgraded to General as N4BCI. Upgraded to Advanced at 17. Kept that call until 2010 when I was issued K4BTC. Passed the Extra exam on 02/06/2010.
