Thanks for stopping by. My HF Rig is A TS-590, and my VHF rig is a TM-281. I operate CW/digital modes and SSB. Antennas are: 160m 5/8 wave dipole N/S at 90 feet, 160m 5/8 wave dipole W/E at 90 feet. A 4 element Parasitic Beam for 6 meters at 30 ft and a dual band Ringo Ranger for 144/440mhz. I am also about to begin my build of my 6 band HEX Beam that will be sitting on top of a 40' push up pole. I run an Ameritron AL-811H amp for the tough ones!

I also belong to QCWA; my number is 32464. My TEN-TEN International # is 75465. I am treasurer and charter member of RADARS club. I support and fully use QRZ Log, LOTW, EQSL and Club Log. I operate cw and digital modes, and am starting to operate more SSB. My favorite contest is the Original 13 Colonies Contest the week of July 1ST - JULY 6TH. K2L; station for SC in the 13 Colonies Contest won TOP STATION for year 2014. I operated CW, and with a grand total of 497 QSO's. Club total was 17,139. I also enjoy building my own antennas and experimenting with different designs.
I am 52 years old and have lived in Charleston all my life. First licensed in 1975 at age 12 as WD4BTC, then at age 15 upgraded to General as N4BCI. Upgraded to Advanced at 17. Kept that call until 2010 when I was issued K4BTC. Passed the Extra exam on 02/06/2010.
