I have been interested in Amateur Radio since I was 10 years old. Fast forward 45 years and I finally got my ticket thanks to good people like Don-W0DEW and many others that have helped my along the way.

My wife and I are semi-retired now and are lock tenders on the Kissimmee River. We live in a house on 14 acres of land and there are no antenna restrictions which gives me the option of experimenting with different types of antennas and I have plenty of time to play radio.

I currently have an Icom-718 and a vintage Kenwood TS-520 which was my first HF rig. I have a Yaesu FT-2800M for local 2 meter use and a Motorola CDM 1250 for 440 use. I use a 220 ft loop and a Gap Titan DX antenna for HF. Most of my time on HF is spent on PSK, Feld Hell, Olivia, JT65 and the other digital modes.

I hope to see you on the bands.
