I was born in Gadsden, AL, graduated from Auburn University with degree in Industrial Engineering. Worked for TVA in Chattanooga TN for 28 years as a Programmer and System Analyst. Moved to NW Florida in 1995. I am very active in Amateur Radio, licensed since 1958 as K4JAF. On the DXCC Honor Roll with all (Number 1 Honor Roll) contries confirmed, hold RTTY DXCC, CW DXCC, 6 meter DXCC, 9 Band HF DXCC, DXCC Challenge (2000) and VUCC 50 MHZ with 600 grids worked and 520 confirmed. Amateur equipment consists of the Yaesu FTDX 5000 tranceiver, Acom 2000 amp, Cubex 2 element 5 band HF quad at 40 feet and a Cubex 4 element 6 meter quad at 45 feet.
