It's nice to have something to fall back on in the cold winter months now that I'm retired. I like SSB , CW and AM modes of operation as well as operating Qrp every now and than. I still like putting up different antennas for myself as well as for my ham friends who cannot do this for age or medical reasons. I like sending the old paper QSL cards. Don't bother with E Qsls. You send me your card and I'll fire one right back to you. No SASE are necessary State side. I keep the old fashion paper log sheets. Picture to the left is of my tower with my 40 mtr. cage antenna. Just to the bottom right of the rotor is the apex of my cage.
As of Nov.7th 2011 I put up a 10 meter beacon .Using a ID-O-MATIC at 15 WPM. The frequency is 28.254.5 . Rig is a Radio Shack HTX-100 running 25 watts. Antenna is a Antron 99 at about 35 feet. If you would like a QSL no S.A.S.E. is necessary State side but I do require one out of the U.S.A. . Time and date and signal of beacon as well as the frequency.
Thank You And 73's
Ron
