Enjoy antenna design and fabrication. No commercial antennas except on mobile. Have 6 band quad, inv-L. Completed 1650' sky loop at 60' average. Have 14 acres of woods (jungle). Have 4 dual-wire beverages for 8 different directions. 120' tower hb 8 element 6M beam, 56 countries on E skip on 6M in past 3 years. 17 element 2M and 70cm beams at 130'+. Worked most of eastern USA on 2M. MO is furthest contact on 70cm.

Started four square projects on 40, 80, 160M using Collins hybrid method. All verticals high off the ground using elevated ground systems. Radials bent at 120 degrees to give closer to 50 ohm antennas, plus allows less interference with ground system. 80, 160M off Dacron rope catenary on 120' tower. 80M 35' off the the ground but 160 is only 16' off the ground, making radial management more challanging. Took down 40M 4-square and replaced it with phased Delta loops at 80', 24' spacing. Trying 100 degree phasing line.

Fabricated 4 24 element 70cm antennas, attached to H-frame. Have Az/El mount and hope to do EME soon.

Just finished N2PK VNA for highly accurate measurements. Also built 2M transverter for it.

Recent return to ham radio after almost 20 years absense. Just added 160M to SB-220 amp. Modified ClippertonL amp to GI-7B. Please, do not follow the advice found on the internet! I did, and wasted a lot of time.

EAA member, building several kinds of aircraft. Dragonfly, RV-9A, LongEz.

Telescope maker, made several mirrors, working on 20" BVC, have 24" grinding machine.
