I like paper QSL cards but the mail is too expensive now. For USA QSO's, I will QSL via LOTW and eQSL. If you need a paper QSL, I will be happy to send you one, just let me know. USA and DX - if you send me a card I will return mine...NO SASE needed that way we can share the cost of this wonderful hobby.
DX'ers, if you are not going to return a QSL card, please say so during QSO. It is very expensive to send green stamps and get no response. If I send green stamps to DX station, please do not reply via bureau, I am too old to wait on them (hi hi), TU. All my QSOs are loaded onto LotW weekly.
If you need a QSO with Kentucky, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I am retired and will try to work with your schedule.
I joined the Army in 1966 and served in Viet Nam from 12/68 - 01/70. I retired from the Army in 1986 and found that I had to work for a living. I retired again, this time as a computer network administrator at Ft. Knox in 2007.
I was an Adult Scouter from 1984 to 1996 in Panama, Florida, and Utah and received the Silver Beaver in 1995. Owl Woodbadge patrol rocks!
Working with the kids wore me out so I joined a volunteer fire department to relax. I am the Department Safety Officer for the Rineyville Fire Department. I am a certified Kentucky Fire Service Instructor and an EMT-First Responder.
I am active in Freemasonry and a Past Master of Meeting Creek Lodge (KY), Big Spring Lodge (KY), Rocky Mountain #11 (AF&AM) (UT). I am the Worthy Patron of the Vine Grove OES chapter and a Past Patron in Utah and Kentucky.
I got my DXCC, WAC, 8BWAS, TPA, etc. but I will always be a rookie in the ham area. My current projects are to improve my CW so I can work DX and QRP.
