--If you are interested in starting up your own 10 meter beacon, a good place to start is to visit WJ5O's website. It is: Ten Meter Beacon Information.
Remember, you have to have your beacon coordinated, and WJ5O is the
IARU region 2 HF beacon coordinator. He can answer any question you
have regarding coordination of the beacon. ______________________________________________________________
--Hello, all! I have been a ham since 8-14-1995 and have enjoyed every minute of it. It all started in 1987 or so, listening to K5LLK and WD5EHS on my Great Grandfather's old Silvertone (distributed through Sears, Roebuck & Company) A.M. radio on 3.880 Kc A.M. I started out as a Technician, and stayed a Tech. until 2-11-2003. I got sick of not being able to get on MF/HF bands, so I took the simple 5 WPM code test and General exam...now I am a General class licensee. --Transceivers consist of a Kenwood TS-2000, ICOM IC-2200H and an ICOM IC-F221 (70cm/GMRS rig). --For antennas, I have a Hustler G7-144 for 2 meters, 5 element "Propagation Station" yagi for 6 meters, Cushcraft 13B2 for FM/SSB, and a fan dipole for the 75 and 40 meter bands. --If you wanna chat on the radio, just send me a private message here on the QRZ.com forums.
