Roger "RED" Cranford, 69 years old, Proud Member of the First Class CW Operators Club #1797.(www.g4foc.org) Licensed March of 1960 with this call.

We have two sons, two grandsons and one daughter, and they call us "Fair Weather Gypsy's"

Very active/M-CW operator. Rig is a Icom 7100 and small amp about 300 watts, any more and I begin to get into the Trucks electronics. I use theScorpion (3"coil) screwdriver (www.scorpionantennas.com) mounted on our Ford F350 Ford Diesel Truck, I use the Ameriton Screwdriver controller. You will know its us if you spot the big antenna!

We have met many new Ham friends during our journey's and visit many old Ham friends, what a great Hobby we have !!

I operate from the RV using a seperate  Icom 7100 with a small amp & MFJ 33Ft Telescoping Wire Vertical on the side of the RV while parked. I hook onto the RV Frame for a counterpoise, and use the MFJ Auto Tuner in the shack feeding the Vertical. I scatter a few radials out when I can, and hook to the RV Parks Water pipe if they are metal.  Nothing fancy, but ease of use is important when you are full time RV. The Shack shown in the picture doubles as a office computer, we use the Verizon Internet Hot Spot for Internet access anywhere we go. The 5th Wheel is a "Toy Hauler" Columbus 3650TH, the rear 10 feet is cargo area for our goods, it is 41 and one half feet in length and weighs around 15,000 pounds with all of our goodies inside. The Truck is a Ford F-350 Turbo Diesel, long bed and crew cab, and doubles as a work truck back and forth to our events. A real pulling machine with 405 HP.

I have been a classic entrepeneur / self employed for 45 years. A few years ago I became semi-retired. and we became bored rather quickly, so we became vendors at various events. We sell our wares at all sorts of events during the year, Gift Shows, Motorcycle events, street festivals, car shows to mention a few, with our TENS units (Google the term) Our travels take us all over the USA, and we have operated in 50 states to date. We offer a great award for K5ALU-WAS, Vic, W9RGB has now had successfull QSO's with me in all 50 States! We also added a new challenge in 2015.  A yearly award and prize is offered to those who work us in the most locations in a year.  In 2015 we anticipate over 30 or more locations.  Email for full details.

We also own a company providing a intergal part for the CNC machine industry. My web site is www.tool-eye.com   These are marketed on the Internet and shipped as we go.  We have people in Missouri who do the assembly and repairs for us. A very nitsche business with few competitors, volume is less than 75 units monthly, but wonderful profit margins.

I also QSL 100% -- no SASE necessary. Linda and I enjoy eyeball's on our travels so invite us by if you hear us !

We enjoy meeting new friends, and have been known to buy lunches. Call me and warm up your paddle or key, I promise to give you a good QSO
