Retired as Regents Professor Emeritus of Industrial Engineering and Management at Oklahoma State University, serving from 1975 to 2005. Prior to that, beginning in 1969, on the faculty at Virginia Tech. Specialty is Quality Control. Election to the National Academy of Engineering (1990), Academician in the International Academy for Quality (1990), Judge for Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (1991-3), President of Institute of Industrial Engineers (1986-7), and President of American Society for Quality (2003-4) are some career highlights.
After 57 years, have confirmed all current entities; DXCC total is 357; Challenge total is over 2800 band countries. CW, SSB, RTTY and a little bit of JT65 and PSK are all used. Still a lousy digital operator.
Ever since earning DXCC at age 13, have QSL'd 100% either using cards or LOTW. Always pleased to sked for somebody needing OK on any band from 160M through 6M.
73, Ken K5KC
