Hello all!  On 3-27-09 I changed my call sign from KE5GEO to K5LCL.  I became a Novice class license holder (WN5IDQ) back in 1974, but for some reason, I let the hobby lapse.  In October of 2005, I got back into the hobby with aTechnician license, (KE5GEO), then upgraded to General in January of 2008.

My fixed station consists of a Yaesu FT-857D Transceiver, a Kenwood TS-820, an Ameritron AL-811H amplifier, and a homebrew Multi-Band Fan Inverted V, for 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meters, plus a ground mounted Hustler AV-18S Multi-Band Vertical.

I have just recently started PSK-31, and I'm usually on 20 meters, either 14.070 or 14.035 MHz.

I have the FT-897D set up with a 23 Amp power supply and gel-cell battery, so I can quickly drop them into an aluminum case for HF communications for ARES or RACES emergency communication needs.  I also have a Yaesu FT-8900, with KPC3 TNC and Yaesu VX-6R set up in "Go-Kit" aluminum cases for UHF/VHF voice or digital communications.

My mobile rigs include an Alinco DX-70 and MHJ-941C tuner with hamsticks for HF, and an Yaesu FT-7800 for VHF/UHF.

I belong to the Lubbock RACES and ARES groups, as well as the South Plains Amateur Radio Club (SPARC).

Hope to meet you on the band someday!
