I was licensed in 1958, at the age of 13, and learned to love CW.  For the past 31 years, I have lived at the same address in Mississippi, and I have been fortunate enough to accomplish the DXCC Honor Roll (mixed/phone/CW) and IOTA 900 awards.  I was honored to be named an A-1 Operator.

Currently my favorite activity is chasing islands after I retired in 2007.  Prior to that I staged 25 IOTA operations.

The equipment is a Kenwood TS-940, Ameritron AL-811H amplifier, TET 4-el yagi at 65 feet, and Inverted Vees for 80/40/30m.

I think ham radio is best described by this goal: "Worldwide Friendship through Amateur Radio."

I wish you happy hunting in this, the best of all hobbies.
