The photo next to my call is my new prototype 40M 4 element COIL VERSION using our new concept in coil fabrication. catch me nightly on 40M 7.130-7.160. The boom length is 48 ft. and it is 50 ohm dual driven element design.

I am 72 and have been interested in antennas since I was 12.  I got my ticket in 1956 and started to build antennas. While working at Stanford University Radar Astronomy site, I became interested in doing moonbounce or EME (earth-moon-earth) communication. K6CLM Bill Faulkerson (now AH8A) and I built a 320 element collinear array and our boss Taylor Howard, (W6UGL, SK) let us put it on a Stanford hillside. In December 1965 I made my first 2 meter contact ever with VK3ATN, Ray Naughton.

That QSO launced my career and I soon started KLM electronics with (K)en Holladay K6HCP, (L)eland Ferrar K6KBE and (M)ike Staal in 1971. I designed the KT34A and 'XA along with hundreds of other antennas and soon we were building C band satellite dishes and receivers.  KLM was sold in 1982 and a couple years later my wife Myrna (K6MYM) and I started M2 Enterprises later to become M2 Antenna Systems Inc. See our web site at www.m2inc.com

My 6M AND 2M EME arrays                                                                                               The 80MLLC at 90 feet

Currently we have 40 acres of hillside land in Madera County north of Fresno, CA.  I have 7  motorized US (89') and Triex (72') towers. On VHF, I run 4 x 6m9KHW Yagis with full Az-El for 6m and on 2M I have 4 x 2mxp32 full Az-El. Smaller towers have arrays for 432 and 1296. HF currently is 80M3LLC, 40M4COIL and a 20M6A.  My latest addition to the "farm" is a new prototype log periodic covering 10-30 mHz. It is 12 elements on a 44.5 ft. boom. I have been using it to work European stations on 17m 15m and even 12m! I will add a photo soon. Look for me on the WARC bands now!
