K6NFL (Dave Hargus) was born in Springfield, Missouri. Graduated in 1967 from Ramona High School, Riverside, California.

1969-1971 U.S. Army (6 Bn, 14th Artillery and 1st Air Cavalry Divison, Vietnam) served as a radio and radio-teletype operator.

BA degree, Communications, California State University, Fullerton in 1976.

Novice License as KB6FUP in 1982, Tech + 1982, General 2000 and changed call sign to K6NFL.
