Welcome to my background. I have been licensed since 1954 as a novice and finally upgraded to the various levels to become an Extra Class when the 20 WPM was dropped. My limit of code speed at 18 WPM was my best speed. Years ago,I liked to make wire antennas andused several types. Due to living on a small land site, I have developed my present station using a 43 ground mounted vertical with 60 underground radials plususing other antennas on my 72 foot motorized tower which includesa seven element Mosley Pro-67B at about 74' and a ringo ranger for 2 meters at about 80 feet. The equipment in the shack is a Icon 756 Pro 3, Ameritron AL-1200, Ten-tec KW tuner with a Yaseu DX-1000 control unit for the rotator. After a gap in my radio hobby due to raising 3 children and now having 13 grandchildren, I have been blessed to return to this wonderful hobby. I am active in church work including the Gideon Ministry and the Stephen Ministry. When not busy here, my wife and Itravel in the United States in my motorhome and do some traveling overseas In the past, I have visited over 25 countries and every state in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. I have been so blessed to have wonderful friends that have helped me enjoy this hobby so much more with use of my laptop and the HRD software with DX Cluster and electronic logging programs. Mygood friend, Jay, helped me assemble the Pro-67B antennaand has frequently helped me with various computer software challenges. My goal is to make friends on and off of the airways and thank my Lord for this life and my wife. e-mail: h558bob66@yahoo.com Last modified: 2012-09-03 15:49:53, 1665 bytes cached
