Retired CG. Was Radioman for 8 years on several ships and shore stations. Didn't touch a key or send a dit-dah from Spring 1975 until Feb 2013, a long dry spell I'm so getting wet again.

Cleaning the insulator on a 30 ft whip on top of a 20 ft tall crane . I was almost knocked out by an inducted signal onto that antenna (radar??) while nested with the USNS supply ships.

My current call sign is to honor my first unit out of radio school, derived from the NSXN e.g K7SXN. Original c/s KG7AXH

Rig is Icom IC-756 Pro3 into a Zero Five 43' Vertical (trimmed to 26' for HOA requirements) and also a 7mcs inverted "V" 30 feet up. IC-7000 in '06 Toyota Tundra for mobile into a Alpha Moto whip antenna.  Pix are attached of mobile setup. Have a IC-28720H in the Shack.
