80m thru 2m - I love VHF weak signal DXing (NOTE: The Wyoming winds took down my 6m 2x7s, but I rebuilt into 2x 5 elements that are up now!)

The 6m (Magic Band) 50MHz is my main band of interest! My 6m yagi's are Home Brewed 2x5s elements with 1/2 wave spacing. The yagi's are W8IF engineered on a 23 foot booms and are center at 2 wavelengths = 39 feet ATG. This works out very well as a good all around height for me, as I'm on top of a hill with winds. I also run a 6m converted SB-221 that has been cleaned up and modified also by Mike W8IF. The new long boom 2x5 yagi's are working out in the winds and seem to be performing very well for me. All in all, I'm very happy with the rebuilt yagi's. (( Worked my first 6m EME on 01/06/2013. Thank you to Bo SM7FJE, and congraduations on his W.A.S. ))

Feedline out is LMR-600 to the low loss Q-BAR then 1/2 Superflex to the yagi's.

For HF I only run a S9v43 Vertical, anyone can work HF. hi hi

Now, I have 9 elements on 2m. Hope to get a 70cm up sometime.

The rig is a Flex 5000A VU5K with a ARR preamp for 6m in the house. I have the old IC-706 & a IC-746 as the back up rigs, also like to run as k7tnt/m and activate rare grid squares. See ya on 6m & 2m 73s & Good DX.

My HB 2x 5element are up! Time for them to go up. My old Home Brew 2x 7s before the Wind.

Just a windy day in Wyoming! That Max got the 2x7s.:-(

My old 7eleMy old Home Brew 7ele on a 33 foot boom. The End.
