I have been married for 24 years and have two kids in college. I work for the City of Tucson as a communications technician. I have been a ham since my sophomore year in high school (1978), CW nut from day one! My first rig was a Swan 260, which I still have and use today. Also on my bench is a Yaesu FT 757gx, Hallicrafters Twins (ht44 and sx117), Kenwood TS 520, and a Ten Tec 1320 QRP rig. For antennas I use a Hybrid Quad for 10, 15 and 20, and a W5GI Mystery antenna for 10 through 80. For CW paraphernelia I use a Bencher paddle to a Heathkit SA 5010 keyer (built in high school), or my new K-5 Keyer, an Original Vibroplex bug, A Deluxe Vibroplex bug, a Lionel J-38 straight key, and a Ham Key. My first year of CW was on the Ham Key!

Started out as KA7BNM, upgraded to Extra in 1987 and became WY7W, and just recently got the vanity call of K7TPD, which are my initials and is much easier on the tongue! Looking forward to upcoming sunspot cycle, currently enjoy working DX, (102 countries confirmed) contesting, and checking into the RACES HU nets. Hope to hear you again, 73. Tom
