QSL image for K8CXM

Picture above is most of my 'antenna farm'. On the left is my HF2V for 80 and 40, and attached to the house on a 33 foot pole is my K4KIO Hex Beam for 20-10.Through the tree on the right is my Innovantenna 3 element LFA yagi up about 35 feet attached to my chimney and my 30 meter monople is way to the right, but not in the picture.

Licensed as K8CXM since 1962. Retired from IBM in 1999. Married with two children and two Grandkids.

Rig currently is an Elecraft K3/P3 with the matching KPA500. Antennas are a K4KIO Hex beam at 10M for 20-10, a ground mounted Butternut HF2V vertical over 32 radials for 80/40M, and a ground mounted 30M vertical over 20 radials. On 6M I use a 3 element Innovantenna LFA yagi at 10M. Prefer CW DX'ing, with only rare appearances on SSB, usually 6M.

I do some HF RTTY, but really do like JT65 low power. Currently I have conatcted about 70 entities with this mode, running no more than 20 watts.

That magic number 300 came in on LOTW! Thanks to TO7CC on Reunion Island! First one from there to actually use LOTW that I have worked! Now, I go the paper route with the other 54 or so. Including deletes, I have 355 worked and 354 confirmed. Never did get a card from a South Sandwich 1979 contact with Annibal, LU9ZC. Did try, but no luck. Still need that one!

73 .... Jim K8CXM
