I was licensed first in 1967 as WN9TXL, then WA9TXL in the same year and became an Extra Class licensee in 1971. K9CT since 1976. Member of DXCC Mixed, CW and Phone Honor Roll. Life member of the ARRL and a member of the Maxim Society, CWops, NIDXA and A1 Operator Club. I am a board member of the NCDXF and treasurer of CWops. I serve as President of the Society of Midwest Contesters, SMC .

I like chasing the DXCC Challenge Award and operate many contests. It is great fun to assemble a team for multi operator contests. We have won the US M/2  CQ WW RTTY (Also M/M 2014), Phone and CW and also CQ WPX RTTY and CW. We have also won the USA M/2 ARRL DX Phone and CW. We have set many W9 records and a couple of USA records in M/2.
