Licensed since 1989, I am currently focusing on DX & Education.

In the last few years I completed my first DXCC, eDXCC, WAS, eWAS awards and I am working on filling out more bands and modes.

Home QTH Station, as of Nov 2008 working a Flex-Radio Flex-5000a Software Defined Radio (SDR) in addition to the TenTec rigs.

Currently in addition to operating with a Flex-Radio Flex-5000A & Alpha-78, I have backups of a TenTec Jupiter, SGC SG-2020, or for digital a TenTec Pegasus, all routed to either a Tennadyne T-8 Log Periodic, W9INN 1/2 Sloper or Gap Titan DX vertical antenna.

The picture above is from a revised, but not final, station layout. (More details on the shack improvement project are posted on my personal website). I'll try and get a Flex-Radio picture with the double monitor set-up posted sometime soon.  There are some revised station photos at my blog.

Several times a year I help activate Washington Island (Wisconsin - US Island WI-100L) on SSB and with digtal modes. The W9EVT/WI9DX Shack can be seen at http://www.greengate-wibb.com/HamRadio.html

With the W9DK Mancorad Club I'm enjoying working with our newest Amateurs and Youth as Club Elmering Coordinator, one of the club's instructors, as 2010 Mancorad W9DK Board Member, and as a VE.
