Click for more detail... You're reading this because we had a qso. Thanks for the contact and hope to hear from you again real soon. I was first licensed as (Novice) WV2ZOF March 1962, became general class WA2ZOF one year later. Moved to Central Ohio in 1970's and became WD8DGO. Moved back to the Western New York (Buffalo, NY) area in the late 1970's and became KA2DDX. U.S. Navy 1965 to 1969 - radio operator, of course. Thanks to Uncle Sam and U.S. taxpayers, I was able to earn my B.S.B.A. from the University at Buffalo School of Management after studying Electrical Technology at Erie Community College in Amherst, N.Y., using my G.I. bill. Operate mostly cw but also some ssb, psk and fm. Like to work 160m thru 70cm. Member ARRL and have DXCC and WAC. Rigs are Yaesu FT-950 (Begali paddle in front) and FT-920 (Fuller paddle in front) on hf and FT-8800R and FT-1500M on vhf/uhf. Also have a VX6R Yaesu ht, which I really enjoy. I have developed different interests in amateur radio as time goes on. But, I really love cw, especially chasing dx when the higher hf bands open up. Employed in computer field in the Western New York State area. I like what I do so I'll stay with it awhile. Other interests include sports (bona fide baseball fan) and the Discovery channel (the kids call it the "Dad" channel). Married with four great kids. (I married the worlds greatest cook, Lynn, and the love of my life!).
