Hi,I am Tom Schmitz ,I live in Erie ,Pa. I have been a ham since about 1979, I have not been active to much in the last ten years, but I am getting the bite to get back into DX ing. I have DXCC-QRP both CW and Phone , I have a trophy from Ade Weiss for my QRP work and was number 1 in North America in a CQ WW contest and number 6 in the World. My QRP rig is a Ten Tec Argonaut 515 .I also have a Kenwood TS 820 and will now try and go for 5 Band DXCC on it.

I have now since purchased a used Kenwood TS 930.This radio has the WARC bands on it where as my old rig did not , So now I have new endorsements to chase. I will be looking for you all on the new bands:12 Mtrs ,17Mtrs and 30 Mtrs as well as 80 Mtrs, whichI still have not yet finished. My Antennas are mostly dipoles and they are not up very high, so I am plugging away slowly. I do not run any power and that also slows down my chase for DXCC endorsements." Ham Radio " what a great Hobby C Ya on the bands.

New Update: February 2013    8BDXCC   Thanks to people like you, I now have acheived 8BDXCC. 80 Meters was the toughest for me having no amplifier. Next step: 6 Meter DXCC, my old radios ,a TS 820 and TS 930 do not have 6 Meters on them, so I will have to pick up a 6 meter rig somewhere.I would also like to try for 160 meter DXCC ,this should be a real challenge as my property is real small.Should be fun trying to figure something out though.I probably will have to get some sort of amplifier some day to complete 160 DXCC. I still need about 75 or so new Countries for mixed total. So I will be looking for you on any or all bands. 73's
