Click for more detail... I first became interested in amatuer radio in the mid to late 1970s. It took me almost 20 years to get around to it but I finally got my technician class license around 1994. From there with some help from my Elmer, K0SVZ, Bob Ward (SK) I was able to pass the 5wpm code test and upgraded to Tech plus in 95. On March 26, 2000 I passed the General test and really enjoy working with those privileges. I am a retired EMT/Firefighter and also served as the EMS Captain on the Princeton Volunteer Fire Department. I am also a two time past President of the Department. I enjoyed my volunteer work and was proud to serve on such a fine Department. I also enjoy fishing, target shooting, and spending time with my family. Especially my three grandsons and grandaughter. I am currently running a Yaesu FT840 with a G5RV Jr. dipole constructed by my grandson Ethan and myself. I also run an FT 857D and FT 2800 and for 220, a Kenwood TH F6 HT in the shack. 73 John, KB0PBN Last modified: Mon Oct 19 12:21:57 2009 Does this page contain inappropriate content?
