Valley Emergency Communications Association was formed in 1994 and has been an ARRL-affiliated club since then. It was created out of the need for activity that other clubs could not or would not sponsor or get involved with. It is with that that VECA steps in and gets the job done, whether it is communications assistance or a hamfest. VECA's roots are in Iowa, but now is based in Illinois. If you are interested in pitching in when others won't, send an e-mail and we'll consider adding you to our group. Membership is open to hams in Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois or Wisconsin.
