Hi, thanks for stopping by. My given name is Lawrence, however, I go by my nickname (Larry) on the air.

Currently live within the city limits of Jamestown, New York and have a relatively small lot for antennas. I have been a Ham since 1987 and upgraded to Extra Class about 10 years ago. I was biten by the radio bug many years before when operating a Zenith cabinet radio with the big dial and able to tune the SW bands.

I like to experiment with different antennas, digital modes, various software control etc. The HF station here is a Kenwood TS2000 or ICOM IC-746pro with a SGC SG230 automatic tuner into a G5RV dipole up about 30 feet (10 meters) above the ground. Propragation is aided by the fact that my elevation is approximately 1600 feet above sea level. Hardly anything stays the same around here, as we change and experiment with different equipment and software often. I have now included a 4 element  homebrew Yagi for 6M and I'm watching for the openings. The next fall project will be installing a HexBeam for 20 thru 10m. Need to do some roof repairs first so this may take awhile.

Operating Ham Radio Deluxe and DM780 software with logging for the recent operating sessions.

I also operate on 2 meters and 70 cm using a Kenwood TM-D700 mobile or the TS2000. The 2M base antennas are two element quads made from PVC pipe and #12 awg wire, a 11 element beam for SSB and TRAM 1480 dual band 2m/70cm vertical at 20 feet.

Age here is 68. I am now retired and enjoying more time with the radio hobby.

I am a member of the ARRL and am active as a VE.

I  joined the eQSL.cc community and can respond to eQSL.cc member QSOs.

Thanks for stopping by. 73 See you on the bands.

QSL via LoTW,eQSL.cc, or direct is OK.
