When I was nine years old, I built a crystal radio set my parents had given me for Christmas as a Scouting Merit Badge Project. I was intrigued by the many broadcasts received from all over the world; this got me starts as a SWL. In the 70s, a few of my friends from High School and College got me involved CB Radio. During this time, I built many kits and home brewed several HF receivers and transmitters. The seed had been planted that led to a Novice License in January 1985. Today, I'm a holder of an Amateur Extra license.
