FIRST LICENSED IN 1963 AS K1EUL. I WAS INSPIRED BY V2AM (AL, THEN VP2AM) WHILE STATIONED ON THE ISLAND OF ANTIGUA. THIS CALL EXPIRED WHEN I MOVED TO ARIZONA TO START COLLEGE. IN 1979 I BECAME KA7DOZ AS A NOVICE AFTER BEING HASSLED BY AF7A (RON BLESSIN) TO GET BACK INTO THE HOBBY. I WAS CHALLENGED BY THE POSSIBILTIES OF HAM RADIO SO THE SAME YEAR I TESTED AND BECAME AN AVANCED LICENSEE AND CHANGED MY CALLTO KB7HH. IN 1980 I TESTED AGAIN AND WAS AWARDED AN EXTRA CLASS LICENSE. I DECIDED TO KEEP MY KB7HH CALL. SOMEWHERE AROUND 1989 I LOST MY MICROPHONE AND CHOSE TO BECOME A DEDICATED CW OPERATOR. I WORK MOST HF BANDS LOOKING FOR THE ELUSIVE COUNTRIES NEEDED FOR THE DXCC HONOR ROLL.

ON SEPTEMBER OF 2013 I STARTED HAVING FUN WITH SUMMITS ON THE AIR. IT IS ALMOST AS MUCH FUN AS CHASING DX! I HAVE A FEW SUMMITS TO GO ACTIVATE IN 2014.

I AM A MEMBER OF THE CENTRAL ARIZONA DX ASSOCIATION (CADXA) AND THE YAVAPAI AMATEUR RADIO CLUB (YARC).
